EEPC India is organizing seminar with the support from Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The proposed theme for seminar is ‘Promoting Smart Manufacturing in Clusters’.
In order to address the emerging challenges due to increasing global competition, it is felt that promoting Smart Manufacturing in clusters is the way forward. The state of Tamil Nadu is among the highest contributors in engineering and manufacturing exports from India and, the state hosts one of the highest numbers of engineering MSMEs. The seminar includes a Panel Discussion which will together host leading manufacturing clusters and the research parks from Academia, to discuss and deliberate upon the way forward to promote Smart Manufacturing in Clusters.
The Industry Associations representing manufacturing clusters will be sharing their experiences in terms of technological challenges and competition they are facing in the global markets, and they will highlight the gaps which if addressed, can make Indian manufacturing more competitive.
The R&D Academia on the other hand which are now actively pursuing Industry Research collaborations will bring forth their valuable expertise and suggest solutions for Smart Manufacturing.
